EUROPE WEEK 2016 Photo Gallery
The Future of Diplomacy Project held its annual Europe Week during February inviting influential practitioners and experts on European affairs. This year's speakers included Sir Peter Westmacott, former UK Ambassador to the US; Douglas Alexander, former UK Shadow Foreign Secretary and Senior Fellow with the Future of Diplomacy Project; Kori Schake, former U.S. Deputy Director of Policy Planning and Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution; Gregory Maniatis, migration expert and Senior Advisor to the UN Special Representative for Migration; Uli Speck, Fellow with the Transtatlantic Academy at the German Marshall Fund of the United States; and Radek Sikorski, former Foreign Minister of Poland.
The speakers' discussions offered Harvard Kennedy School students and faculty an unique opportunity to grapple with the intractactable geopolitical issues at play in Europe concerning NATO, the EU migration crisis, German leadership, and the rise of European populism.
