Fall 2015 at the Future of Diplomacy Project

Hosting an array of events on subjects as diverse as strategic health diplomacy, climate change negotiations, and the crisis in Syria, the Future of Diplomacy Project offered students in the fall an opportunity to gain deeper insight into some of the world's most intractable challenges from the perspectives of key policy-makers and world-shapers. In fall 2015, the Project welcomed back former NATO Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, and former UK Shadow Foreign Secretary, Douglas Alexander, as fall 2015 Fisher Family Fellows to deepen the discussion around transatlantic security ties, Russian aggression, and Britain's relations with the EU.

In October, the Project published a study with the Mercator Capacity Building Center for Leadership & Advocacy (LEAD) in Berlin, titled ‘Networked Foreign Policy for the 21st Century.’ The study examines how foreign policy-making has responded to contemporary technological changes. In collaboration with the Harvard Law School and the Harvard Business School, the Project also invited former U.S. Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Colin L. Powell, to speak as part of the new "American Secretaries of State Project." You can find more information about these events in the photo gallery below.
