Arctic
The Arctic region is a bellwether for climate change, a potential frontier for investment and economic development, and an innovative governance space.
Recently, however, tensions between Russia and the West have challenged the region’s exceptionalism. We analyze complex Arctic issues such as climate change mitigation and adaptation, sustainable development, cooperative governance, Indigenous rights and leadership, and the region’s evolving geopolitical and security dynamics.
Our interdisciplinary approach integrates insights from environmental science, public policy, international relations, and Indigenous knowledge systems. By collaborating with Arctic policymakers, rights-holders, researchers, and other stakeholders, we aim to advance policies that promote socio-ecological resilience, co-production of knowledge and agenda-setting, and international cooperation in the Arctic region.
