Jason Glavich
Biography
Mr. Jason Glavich is a Department of Defense (DoD) professional with a robust background in defense acquisitions and project management across various roles within the DoD. In his 20 years of experience, he has demonstrated expertise in Program Management, Test and Evaluation, Information Technology, and agile methodologies.
Currently serving on the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Chief Strategy Office (CSO) Requirements Team, Mr. Glavich plays a pivotal role in developing requirements that support DCSA's mission areas. His responsibilities include providing oversight and guidance to ensure mission goals align with enterprise needs.
Previously, Mr. Glavich served as an Acquisition Project Manager for the US Marine Corps (USMC), overseeing the modernization of the Marine Corps Recruiting System. This initiative marked one of the first BCAT (Business Capability Acquisition Cycle) designated programs in the DoD and the initial full agile software development program within the USMC. His leadership in transitioning MCRISS (Marine Corps Recruiting Information Support System) to agile methodology resulted in a user-focused system tailored to the recruiting command's long-term needs. His innovative contracting and development strategies set benchmarks across the DoD, particularly noted for reducing contracting times and enhancing flexibility to adapt to evolving user needs.
Mr. Glavich's career includes a decade of active duty in the US Marine Corps, where he served as an Electronics Technician with deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His contributions in theater included innovations that significantly reduced maintenance on aging equipment, lowered costs, and improved reliability for warfighters. His expertise later extended to serving as a Marine Subject Matter Expert in the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle Program Office, contributing across design, engineering, testing, and program management.
Recognized for his achievements, Mr. Glavich was honored with the "AFCEA Top 40 under 40" award in 2020 and has been nominated for various USMC and Department of Navy Acquisition awards. He holds certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) and actively contributes to professional bodies like PMI and AFCEA. His academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Technology Management and a Master’s degree in Management with a focus on Organizational Change from Excelsior College, New York. In 2023, he co-authored the book Agile Government Contracting 2nd Edition.
