Jasper Boers
Jasper Boers is a research assistant to Graham Allison on the Harvard Belfer Center’s Avoiding Great Power War Project. His research areas include technology policy, economics, trade, industrial policy, and the US competition with China in AI and emerging technologies. Prior to joining the Belfer Center, Jasper consulted on a project for the Pentagon’s Office of Net Assessment that examined China’s approach to innovation, maintenance, and the adoption of new technologies. After graduating from college, he spent a year in China as a Schwarzman Scholar where he studied Mandarin and earned an M.A. in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University. He graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Ethics, Politics, and Economics, where he was a member of the Brady-Johnson Program in Grand Strategy. Jasper is proficient in Mandarin Chinese, which he is concurrently studying at Harvard.
