Kaitlin Peach

Kaitlin Peach is the Raymond Frankel Nuclear Security Policy Fellow at the American Academy of Arts & Sciences. She earned her PhD in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma, where her research focused on public perceptions of nuclear war risk, the value of nuclear weapons in U.S. global identity, and public nuclear policy preferences. During her doctoral studies, she worked on national security projects with the Institute of Public Policy Research and Analysis, including a national public opinion survey and a Sandia National Laboratories–sponsored study on nuclear weapons program management. Her experience includes roles with the Partnership for Global Security, World Neighbors, and internships with The Carter Center and the Virtual Student Federal Service-Department of State. Kaitlin is a 2024 alum of the UC Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation’s Public Policy and Nuclear Threats Bootcamp and a 2025 Center for Strategic and International Studies Project on Nuclear Issues Nuclear Scholar. She holds a BA and MA in International and Area Studies from the University of Oklahoma and speaks French and Arabic.
