Matthew Vogel
Biography
Lt Col Matthew S. Vogel is the Division Chief, A5/7 Mobility Futures Capability Development. Lt Col Vogel facilitates the development and procurement for a $27.2 billion portfolio. This portfolio consists of aircraft programs, modeling & simulation, logistics, and medical evacuation as well as the team’s $7.5 billion tanker portfolio which includes the KC-46, KC-10 and the KC-135 modernization and sustainment.
Lt Col Vogel graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 2004, where he received his commission through ROTC. He
earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA), from Trident University International. He also earned a Masters in Military Science from the Air Forces Air Command and Staff College (ACSC). Additionally, Lt Col Vogel was selected as a Phoenix Mobility Officer in Air Mobility Command’s prestigious leadership development program in 2012. Lt Col Vogel is an Evaluator Navigator and a Contingency Response Wing Evaluator and has deployed seven times in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, Operation INHERENT RESOLVE, and missions supporting multinational operations in Mali, Africa accumulating over 700 combat & combat support flight hours.
