Sarah Mohamed is a Research Fellow with the Middle East Initiative and a sixth year PhD Candidate in Harvard University's Department of Government. She studies comparative politics and international relations with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa. Specifically, she is interested in political communication and public opinion in authoritarian settings. Her research employs text analysis and survey experiments. Prior to coming to Harvard, Sarah earned her MPhil in Modern Middle Eastern Studies at St. Antony’s College, Oxford, where she was a Marshall Scholar, and her BA in Political Science and Comparative Literature at the University of California, Berkeley. Sarah has also worked in Washington D.C. at the Human Rights Initiative at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
