Wright Smith is a Predoctoral Research Fellow in the International Security Program. He is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Security Studies Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His dissertation examines on how states prioritize among different fronts of a multifront war, with a focus on Germany, India, and Israel.
His other research interests include the conduct of war, escalation, grand strategy, and emerging technologies, with ongoing projects including work examining psychological biases and military learning, private military contractors and escalation, and conventional brinksmanship. Previously he earned his A.B. from Harvard University.
