Antonia Foldes

Fellow

Antonia Foldes is a first-year Master in Public Policy candidate, Belfer Young Leader Fellow, and DETS Research Assistant at the Harvard Kennedy School. Her research interests include conflict prevention and resolution, community movements, and human rights, especially in relation to Eastern Europe.

Previously, Antonia was an analyst at Kroll, where she investigated violations of international humanitarian law for a war crimes case in East Africa. She has conducted complex, cross-border investigations and prepared evidence for legal proceedings, advising law firms, government clients, and multinational corporations. Prior to joining Kroll, Antonia was an editor at the Heidelberg Institute for International Conflict Research, monitoring guerrilla violence ahead of the 2016 Colombian peace agreement. She has volunteered to help conflict-related displaced persons in Colombia and, most recently, on the Polish-Ukrainian border.

Antonia holds degrees from King’s College London and the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. Supported by the Leverhulme Trust, she spent two years researching post-conflict memory across Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and the former Soviet Union. During her studies she contributed to oral history documentation, memory work, and museum education.
