Benjamin Zeskind

Ben is a national security law attorney and former U.S. Army ranger (deputy regimental judge advocate, 75th Ranger Regiment), and is the first judge advocate to participate in the Army’s Career Intermission Program. Ben deployed to Afghanistan multiple times as the legal advisor to a special operations task force, advising on a broad spectrum of counterterrorism operations. Most recently, Ben served in multiple roles with the U.S. Army’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID), including assignments as the primary legal advisor to the commander of CID’s specialized investigative and protective service missions, and as the chief of CID’s administrative and military law practice group. Ben is a graduate of the U.S. Army’s Ranger, Airborne, and Air Assault courses, the 75th Ranger Regiment’s Ranger Assessment and Selection Program 2 (RASP 2) and Small Unit Ranger Tactics (SURT) courses, and the Joint Targeting School’s Collateral Damage Estimation (CDE) Course. His military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Ranger Tab, and Humanitarian Service Medal among other distinctions.  Ben graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Richmond where he co-captained the baseball team, earning multiple national, state, and conference honors before the Toronto Blue Jays selected him in the 2006 MLB Draft.
