Fred Hu
Fred Hu is Founder and Chairman of Primavera Capital Group, a global investment firm focused on innovative industries including climate tech. Previously he was a partner at Goldman Sachs Group and also served worked at the International Monetary Fund in Washington D.C.
Fred currently serves on several corporate boards including ICBC, Yum China, and UBS Group AG. He is a Trustee of the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) in Princeton, New Jersey, a member of the Nature Conservancy (TNC)’s Global Board, and the Co-Chair of the TNC Asia Pacific Council. He also sits on the Global Advisory Board of the Chazen Institute for Global Business at Columbia Business School and the Global Board of Advisors at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
Fred holds a Master in Engineering Science from Tsinghua University and a Master and PhD in Economics from Harvard University.
