Medha Patki

Medha Patki is a Master in Public Policy Candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. In the past year, she has worked as a researcher in the Product and Society group with Kathy Pham, been on the leadership team for the AI in Action student group, and won the MIT Tech Policy Hackathon, while exploring technology-related coursework at HKS and MIT. Previously, she worked as a data scientist for a Canadian telecommunications company, and interned in aerospace and automobile manufacturing positions, gaining experience in the use of large datasets in big corporations. Her policy interests include the fair and ethical use of artificial intelligence and machine learning, with a particular interest in the regulation of explainability. She received a Bachelor's degree in Management (Industrial) Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Canada.
