Salam Fayyad

Salam Fayyad is a former Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority. An economist with a long career at the IMF, Dr. Fayyad currently serves as the Charles and Marie Robertson Visiting Professor in Public Policy at Princeton School of Public and International Affairs; a Kent Visiting Professor in Conflict Resolution at Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs; a Professor of Practice of Governance at the University of Pennsylvania (as of January 2027); a Distinguished Fellow at the Columbia University Institute of Global Politics; a Distinguished Fellow at Brookings; and a Senior Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. 

Dr. Fayyad holds a BSc from the American University of Beirut, an MBA from St. Edward’s University, and a PhD in economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
