Sara Plana is a predoctoral fellow at the Belfer Center's International Security Program and a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at MIT. Her research touches on the causes, conduct, and consequences of proxy warfare as well as security-sector organizational behavior, military operations and effectiveness, and civil-military relations. She graduated magna cum laude with an A.B. in Government from Harvard University in 2012.
