Shannon Felton Spence
Shannon Felton Spence has extensive experience leading communication for some of today's most recognized policy experts.
As Director of Global Communications and Strategy at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, she joins a community advancing policy-relevant knowledge about the important challenges of international security.
For over a decade, Spence has worked with international governments, multinational corporations, and world-class universities. Before joining the Belfer Center, she was the Director of Communication + Marketing at the Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation at Georgetown University, and she previously served as Director of Communications at Opportunity Insights and as Head of Politics and Communications at the British Consulate General of New England. In addition, Spence has taught courses in leadership and global diplomacy at Emerson College and often appears on national and international media networks.
Spence graduated from Brown University with a Master of Public Affairs in 2017. Proudly hailing from Denver, Colorado, she now calls Charlestown, Massachusetts home.
