William James is a D.Phil. candidate in International Relations at the University of Oxford and a Grand Strategy, Security, and Statecraft Fellow with the International Security Program at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and MIT's Security Studies Program. He is based at MIT for the 2018–2019 academic year as a pre-doctoral fellow and will be in residence for the post-doctoral fellowship at HKS in 2019. His research seeks to identify the conditions that facilitate the conceptualization of coherent and flawed grand strategies.
