Dobriansky remains affiliated with the Belfer Center as an adjunct senior fellow
Cambridge, Mass. - Ambassador Paula J. Dobriansky, who spent the last year as a senior fellow at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, will join Thomson Reuters as senior vice president and head of government affairs for the Americas. She will remain affiliated with the Belfer Center as an adjunct senior fellow.
Dobriansky started at Thomson Reuters on Feb. 1.
Ambassador Dobriansky, who served as under secretary of state for democracy and global affairs in the Bush Administration, will be part of Thomson Reuters' Markets Division, the financial and media operations of Thomson Reuters. She will be responsible for designing and implementing Thomson Reuters Markets strategy in Washington, DC and other key Americas capitals. She will join a global government affairs team across the company's Markets and Professional businesses, which proactively identify risks and opportunities presented by potential regulation and maintain strategic lines of communication with government bodies.
While serving as undersecretary of state, Ambassador Dobriansky received the Secretary of State's highest honor, the Distinguished Service Medal, for her work. She has held senior government and board positions during both Republican and Democratic Administrations, and served as senior vice president and director of the Washington Office of the Council on Foreign Relations.
