Synopsis:

Rebels have taken control of Russian intercontinental ballistic missiles. Captain Frank Ramsey and Lieutenant Commander Ron Hunter are in charge of the the USS Alabama, a ballistic missile submarine, as it prepares for a preemptive nuclear strike against Russia. Starring two acting legends, Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman, the film takes on issues related to nuclear command and control, crisis stability, and nuclear navy culture by asking the question: What if two officers disagree on a nuclear launch order?
