Lecture by Susanne Freidberg on the Cultural economy of food scares.

Susanne Freidberg is Assistant Professor of Geography at Dartmouth College. Prof. Freidberg researchs and teaches courses that look at regional and international food trades, cultural constructs of food safety and risk, political ecology, agrarian change, Third World development, gender analysis, and Africa. Her lecture will be based largely on her forthcoming book, French Beans and Food Scares: Culture and Commerce in an Anxious Age.
