Honorable Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan
Mr. Pradhan is the executive head of India's hydrocarbon sector in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's NDA (National Democratic Alliance) Government. He is a member of the Upper House of the Indian Parliament (Rajya Sabha) since 2012 and previously was also a member of the Lower House (Lok Sabha - House of the People) between 2004 and 2009. During his tenure as the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, he has led diesel price deregulation reforms, introduced India's first direct cash transfer subsidy program for LPG distribution, eased regulations for investments in marginal or small exploration blocks, and tried to balance the country's energy tilt from petroleum to natural gas by prioritizing investments in the national gas grid and city gas distribution.
