Please join the Belfer Center’s Defense, Emerging Technology, and Strategy (DETS) Program for “Future-Proofing Military Logistics: Strategy, Resilience, and Innovation” on Tuesday, November 5th at 3:00 PM in Rubenstein 414AB.
This session will be led by LTC Mark Sander as part of the For the Common Defense seminar series. Refreshments will be served. This event is open to Harvard ID holders.
From the perspective of an Army medical logistician with experiences from counterinsurgency in the Middle East, the first outbreak response to COVID-19 in the Pacific region, and contingency planning for large scale combat operations, we will explore the evolving challenges in military logistics and supply chain management within a dynamic global threat environment.
By leveraging insights from targeting theory, network combat, and organizational design, we will examine strategies for enhancing resilience in supply chains, reducing vulnerabilities, and adapting to modern operational demands. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how strategic innovation, flexible organizational structures, and proactive risk management can future-proof logistics systems, ensuring operational readiness and saving lives in the most challenging conditions.
