Thomas Kiessling has 6 years of professional experience in communications engineering and policy, including assignments at the European Commission, DG IV (Competition) and DG XIII (Telecommunications), and Analysys Ltd., Cambridge, UK, the largest telecommunications consultancy in Europe. Since 1994 he has been working for Global One (Strategic Alliance of Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom, and US Sprint), where he is currently responsible for the operators? global ATM network planning activities. Current research focuses on the impact of the EU and US Telecommunications Regulatory Frameworks on international telecommunications, as well as convergence between media and telecommunications.
