About

Abstract: This talk will present the case for the emergence of the "issue of biodiversity" on the international scene and the characteristics of its institutional settlement at the international level. It will draw insights from both the IR (Institutional Design and reconciliation, linkages, norm entrepreneurs & path dependence) and STS ("co-production", framing & role of experts) literature, and link these accounts to the simultaneously emerging concept of 'sustainability". It will also offer some recommendations in the North-South context.
