Ms. Solo is an internationally-acclaimed proponent of grass-roots activism for social change. She is past president of the Social Ventures Network, an alliance of 500 CEOs dedicated to socially responsible business principles, and author of From Protest to Policy: Beyond the Freeze to Common Security, a history of the nuclear freeze movement. She also managed the successful 1980 and 1982 Congressional campaigns of Patricia Schroeder (Democratic Representative from Colorado) as well as her presidential exploratory campaign in 1986.
