U.S. Leadership in the Middle East and Beyond

RSVP Required Harvard Faculty, Fellows, Staff, and Students

Please join the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs for a conversation with Ambassador Dennis Ross, Counselor and William Davidson Distinguished Fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. He will discuss current dynamics in the Middle East following the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, as well as successes and challenges of U.S. foreign policy in that region and around the world. The discussion will draw on his new book Statecraft 2.0: What America Needs to Lead in a Multipolar World

In addition to his work at the Washington Institute, Ambassador Dennis Ross teaches at Georgetown University’s Center for Jewish Civilization. For more than twelve years, Ambassador Ross played a leading role in shaping U.S. involvement in the Middle East peace process, dealing directly with the parties as the U.S. point man on the peace process in both the George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton administrations. He served two and a half years as special assistant to President Obama and National Security Council senior director for the Central Region, spending the first six months of the Administration as the special advisor on Iran to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The seminar will be moderated by Belfer Center Director Meghan O'Sullivan, Jeane Kirkpatrick Professor of the Practice of International Affairs, Harvard Kennedy School.

Attendance is in-person and for HUID holders only. Space is limited so please only RSVP if you plan to attend.
