U.S. Republican Convention: Donald Trump as the nation's strong savior
After the U.S. Democrats, the Republicans are now holding their party conference. The message from Donald Trump, as well as that of the speakers, is clear beforehand: Trump wants to present himself as a particularly strong president to protect the United States from chaos.
"It is exactly what many Americans ask themselves again and again: How can it be that this President breaks not only norms, but also taboos and laws, and he is not really stopped - neither by the judiciary, nor by Congress, or by other institutions," says Cathryn Clüver-Ashbrook.
