David Schatsky is a Technology and Geopolitics Fellow at the Belfer Center, where his research tracks the evolution of artificial intelligence technology platforms, business models, and markets and explores their policy implications.
He is the founder of Tenon Research, a consultancy that serves technology firms with thought leadership strategy and custom market intelligence. His work there focuses on artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, digital transformation, and sustainability, with an emphasis on spotting new trends and translating complex research into actionable business strategies. Previously, he was a Managing Director at Deloitte LLP, where he led firm-wide market analysis and thought leadership on AI, climate, and other growth markets. He was also President of Jupiter Research, a global digital business and technology research firm.
Mr. Schatsky’s research on artificial intelligence has garnered over 1,000 scholarly citations and more than 1,000 media mentions. At Deloitte, he co-created and co-led a successful climate tech advisory service. He is the author of Signals for Strategists: Sensing Emerging Trends in Business and Technology and produced an online course on AI that has attracted over 145,000 participants. He has appeared often on national television and radio and has been quoted in major publications like the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.
Mr. Schatsky holds an MA in international economics and U.S. foreign policy from the Johns Hopkins University Nitze School of Advanced International Studies and a BS in computer science from Tufts University.
