Josh Entsminger

Josh Entsminger is a 2025-2026 Technology and Geopolitics Fellow in the Emerging Technology, Scientific Advancement, and Global Policy Program at the Belfer Center. 

His research explores how public high-risk, high-reward R&D institutions are adapting to changing technology and policy landscapes. In particular, he focuses on the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and efforts to emulate DARPA across different sectors, both within the United States and by foreign governments.

He will further examine the implications of leveraging artificial intelligence for scientific discovery and synthesis, especially for the future of such DARPA-like institutions.
