Kerby Davis

Kerby Davis is an International Security Program Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. He specializes in the study of international security, with a specific focus on the political implications of military operational concepts. Relatedly, Kerby recently published an article in International Security presenting a simulation and analysis of a possible missile-based blockade of Taiwan by China. His primary research interest focuses on the strategic consequences of military friction and how the environment shapes military operations, concepts, and outcomes. Alongside this, he investigates military innovation and technological development, international relations theory, and modeling and simulation.

Kerby is a Ph.D. graduate of the University of Notre Dame's Department of Political Science. Previously, he worked in the Washington, D.C., think tank and advocacy space as a foreign policy analyst focused on U.S. relations with Europe and Russia. Kerby earned his B.A. in Political Science at Brigham Young University and his Master of International Affairs at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. He has also worked as a Summer Associate for the RAND Corporation.
