Leontine von Felbert

Leontine von Felbert is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the International Security Program at the Belfer Center. Previously, she served as a Political Affairs Officer at the NATO Mission Iraq in Baghdad. She completed her Ph.D. in Defence Studies at King’s College London on the topic “The Use of Surrogate Warfare in Great Power Competition”, with a focus on U.S. and Russian surrogate networks in Ukraine and Syria. During her Ph.D. studies, she was funded by Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) and was a member of their doctoral program “Security and Development in the 21st Century”. Before her pursuing her Ph.D., she worked as a Research Fellow and Project Manager for KAS Jordan Office in Amman, Jordan. She received her Master's degree from the University of St. Andrews.
