Dr. Muhra Al Muhairi is a non-residential Fellow with the Harvard Kennedy School's Middle East Initiative. She is a distinguished Emirati leader, academic, and entrepreneur whose work spans education, government, research, and creative enterprise. She holds a Doctorate of Business Administration from Abu Dhabi University, a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, an Executive MBA from Zayed University, and a Master of Education from Deakin University.
Over the course of more than two decades, Dr. Muhra has held senior leadership roles across the UAE’s government and higher education sectors. She former Advisor of learning and development at Abu Dhabi Government. Her government experience includes serving as policy advisor at Department of Government Enablement, Advisor to the General Manager at the Authority of Social Contribution – MAAN, a member of the establishing team of the Abu Dhabi School of Government, Program Department Manager at the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. Earlier in her career, she was Faculty and Chair of the Business Department at the Higher Colleges of Technology.
In addition to her government and academic career, Dr. Muhra is the Founder of Grow Research & Development, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing research and policy in youth and social development; The Art of Being Academy, a platform for leadership training, coaching, and lifelong learning; and SMAA Design, a creative hub for design, art, and cultural innovation.
A respected public speaker, coach, and mentor, Dr. Muhra is recognized for her ability to connect research with practice, policy with innovation, and creativity with leadership.
