Slavina Ancheva

Biography

Slavina Ancheva is pursuing a master’s in public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School as a Fulbright Bulgaria Scholar and Belfer Young Leader Fellow.

During her time at Harvard, Slavina is focusing on Artificial Intelligence policy, emerging technologies, and geopolitics. She contributes to research at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, supporting the work of Carme Artigas, Ian Bremmer, and the Move37 Initiative within the Emerging Technology, Scientific Advancement, and Global Policy program.

Before HKS, Slavina worked in the European Parliament for four years as a Policy Adviser and Head of Office for Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Eva Maydell. In this role, Slavina advised on tech and digital policy, including the negotiations of the Artificial Intelligence Act, the world’s first-ever comprehensive law on AI.

Slavina is a Non-Residential Fellow of the International Strategy Forum, and an alumnus of the Atlantic Council’s European Accelerator Program and of the Bertelsmann Foundation Fellowship. Her work on U.S. AI Policy has been featured in The Hill, Tech Policy Press, and Lawfare.

In Bulgaria, Slavina is a co-founder of the Accessible World Foundation, an NGO focusing on disability rights and the accessibility of public spaces.
