Lieutenant Colonel Christopher R. Joers is a National Security Fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. He serves in the Air Force as a Special Agent with the Office of Special Investigations, where he has conducted and led felony-level criminal, fraud, and counterintelligence investigations and operations in various positions across the globe. Most recently, he was assigned as the Vice Commander for a more than 650-person Center which served as the command's focal point for operational enhancement and integration of all criminal, counterintelligence, and cyber activities and specialist capabilities.

Lt Col Joers holds a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, a Master's degree in Security Studies (Middle East) from the Naval Postgraduate School, a Master's degree in Military Studies from the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and an Associate's degree in Turkish from the Defense Language Institute.
