Biography

Commander Grant Wanier is a National Security Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government. He is a career Submarine Officer in the United States Navy commissioned from the United States Naval Academy earning a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering with a Minor in German. He holds a Master of Business Administration with a Certificate in Renewable and Sustainable Energy from Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder. He served at-sea as a Division Officer onboard the USS KENTUCKY (SSBN 737)(BLUE), the Combat Systems Officer onboard USS HARTFORD (SSN 768), and the Executive Officer onboard USS MICHIGAN (SSGN 727)(BLUE). Ashore he served as the Submarine Liaison Officer for Commander Destroyer Squadron Two, the Sophomore Advisor and Naval Weapons & Engineering Instructor for the University of Colorado Boulder NROTC Unit, and as Current Maritime Operations Branch Chief at Headquarters, United States Indo-Pacific Command.
