Biography

LTC Wood is a United States Army War College Fellow at Harvard University. He received his commission as an Armor Officer from Cameron University in 2003. He graduated from the Armor Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, United States Naval Command and General Staff College, and the Combined Arms and Services Staff School.

Before he arrived at Cambridge, MA, he was assigned to the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE), where he served as the Director of Operations (G3). Before serving as the MCoE's G3, LTC Wood commanded the 4th Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment in Vilseck, Germany. He has multiple combat tours in support of the Global War on Terrorism.

LTC Wood holds a Master of Military Arts and Sciences degree from the United States Navy War College and a bachelor's degree in history from Cameron University. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with 2 OLC, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with 3 OLC, the Army Commendation Medal with 3 OLC, the Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom Campaign Medals, the Parachutist Badge, the Pathfinder Badge, and the Combat Action Badge.
