Biography

Julina L. Hooks, Senior Analyst, is a civil servant with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).  Julina is a specialist in user experience research and data modeling. Her work focuses on the development of data and technology solutions. 


Prior to joining Harvard, Julina served at the Pentagon in the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security (OUSD(I&S)). In her previous role, Julina acted as the Partner Engagement Lead for Southeast Asia in the Directorate for Defense Intelligence Warfighter Support within the Office of Commonwealth & Partner Engagement.


Julina is certified in Program Management and Technology Management from Cornell University. Julina holds an M.S. in Instructional Technology and Media, with an emphasis in cognitive science and human/machine interaction from Columbia University and a B.A. in History from Manhattanville College. She also attended Kansai Gaidai University for Japanese Language studies.
