Thomas Anderman is a Partner and Head of Private Equity at Cohen Private Ventures, which invests long-term capital in direct private investments and other opportunistic transactions on behalf of Steven A. Cohen and his family.
Prior to his position with Cohen Private Ventures, Mr. Anderman was a Principal at Paine & Partners, where he focused on private equity investments in the U.S. and Europe. Mr. Anderman has also held positions at Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity, Freeman Spogli & Co., and Salomon Smith Barney, where he began his career in finance as an investment banking analyst in the consumer/retail group.
Mr. Anderman serves on the Board of Directors of Incline Energy Partners and DocASAP. In 2012 he was Interim CFO of Scanbio Marine Group AS, a Paine & Partners portfolio company in Trondheim, Norway.
Mr. Anderman received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and his BA (Economics) and MA (Sociology: Organizations, Business & the Economy) from Stanford University. An instrument-certified pilot, he is a member of the International Council of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School and The Economics Club of New York.
