Thomas Anderman

Thomas Anderman is a Partner and Head of Private Equity at Cohen Private Ventures, which invests long-term capital in direct private investments and other opportunistic transactions on behalf of Steven A. Cohen and his family.

Prior to his position with Cohen Private Ventures, Mr. Anderman was a Principal at Paine & Partners, where he focused on private equity investments in the U.S. and Europe. Mr. Anderman has also held positions at Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity, Freeman Spogli & Co., and Salomon Smith Barney, where he began his career in finance as an investment banking analyst in the consumer/retail group.

Mr. Anderman serves on the Board of Directors of Incline Energy Partners and DocASAP. In 2012 he was Interim CFO of Scanbio Marine Group AS, a Paine & Partners portfolio company in Trondheim, Norway.

Mr. Anderman received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and his BA (Economics) and MA (Sociology: Organizations, Business & the Economy) from Stanford University. An instrument-certified pilot, he is a member of the International Council of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School and The Economics Club of New York. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and son.
