One of the defining features of this era is the prominence and influence of the countries often called “middle powers," a diverse group of states seeking to pursue their interests and geopolitical influence without getting trampled in the U.S.-China competition. Three leading scholars, with expertise on Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and beyond, will share their insights as we kick off a research project on middle powers and their potential impact on the international order.
