Competing goals make Saudi oil policy hard to predict
Meghan O'Sullivan, Jeane Kirkpatrick Professor of the Practice of International Affairs at Harvard Kennedy School and head of the Belfer Center's Geopolitics of Energy Project, wrote an op-ed for the Financial Times on March 8th, discussing the agreement last month by Saudi Arabia with Russia and other big oil producers to freeze production in the face of rock bottom prices.
