Erik Lin-Greenberg is associate professor of political science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he is a member of the MIT Security Studies Program and Co-Director of the MIT Wargaming Lab. His research explores how emerging technologies affect international security. 

He is author of The Remote Revolution: Drones and Modern Statecraft (Cornell, 2025) and has published articles in policy and academic outlets including Foreign Affairs, The Washington Post, Journal of Politics, Security Studies, International Studies Quarterly, and Journal of Conflict Resolution. 

Erik holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University and has previously held fellowships at Dartmouth College, the University of Pennsylvania, and Stanford University. Prior to entering academia, Erik served as an active duty officer in the United States Air Force. He has held assignments in operational squadrons, Headquarters Air Force, and on the Joint Staff, and currently commands a squadron in the Air Force Reserve.
