Liubov Sulyandziga is a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University's Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies and an Affiliate of the Belfer Center's Arctic Initiative. Sulyandziga is an Indigenous rights expert and advocate from the Udege community of the Russian Far East. She holds a Master of Law and a PhD in Political Science, with research focused on Indigenous self-determination, Arctic governance, and policy development. Her work explores Indigenous agency and resistance in politically suppressive environments, emphasizing governance and sustainability amid the green transition, critical minerals, and global climate policy. At Harvard, she seeks to advance inclusive, sustainable, and interdisciplinary approaches that strengthen Indigenous leadership and amplify underrepresented voices in global policymaking.
