Roy Schwartz Tichon
Roy Schwartz Tichon is a social entrepreneur, policy advocate, and researcher with a background in economics, biotechnology, and public policy. He is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Noa Tanua, an NPO that has transformed Shabbat public transportation access in Israel, responsible for over 10 million rides across 20 cities. Recognized as one of Israel’s top young influencers, Roy has worked with municipalities, parliament, and technology partners to advance sustainable mobility and civil rights. He holds a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University and an MPhil in Medical Science from the University of Cambridge, alongside dual bachelor’s degrees in economics and biology from the Open University of Israel. Beyond his professional work, Roy is active in political advocacy, health policy, and economic commentary, reaching millions through media and podcasts. In his free time, he loves exploring the world, having traveled to more than 50 countries, from climbing peaks in Mongolia to swimming near Victoria Falls. He is also an avid listener of podcasts and musicals—most recently recommending Operation Mincemeat—and has volunteered as a Hebrew translator for the world’s most successful fan fiction, Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality.
