Sameera Salari

Sameera Salari is a second-year Master in Public Policy candidate and a Belfer Young Leader Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. As a Student Research Assistant supporting Eric Rosenbach and the Defense, Emerging Technology and Strategy (DETS) program, she focuses on cyber risk and the intersection of emerging technologies and national security strategy.

Before coming to HKS, Sameera spent over a decade in Silicon Valley as a Senior Product Manager and AI startup founding member. During that time, she led engineering and product teams in making strategic technical investments in areas such as combatting misinformation, elections integrity, and AI.

She holds a B.A. in Urban Studies with a minor in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
