Sameera Salari

Research Fellow

Sameera Salari is a Research Fellow with the Program on Emerging Tech, Scientific Advancement, and Global Policy at the Belfer Center. Her research focuses on the intersection of frontier AI, diplomacy, and international security, including technical work for the Move37 Initiative on AI in Diplomacy, Negotiation, and Conflict Mediation. 

Prior to Belfer, Salari worked for over a decade at the intersection of technology, product, and public policy. She spent seven years at Meta, where she was a senior product manager and leader, running global teams working on news, elections and metaverse identity. She was previously the founding Head of Product Management at Sizzle AI, an early-stage generative AI startup.

Salari holds a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, where she was a Belfer Young Leader Fellow, and a B.A. in Urban Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
