Widespread deployment of carbon capture and storage (CCS) is required for most pathways to net-zero emissions by 2050, but investment in and deployment of CCS technologies lag behind global needs. We examine barriers to the adoption of CCS as well as policies and incentives that could accelerate its development and deployment.
