About the Speaker

Dr. Micah Goodman is an Israeli scholar, author, philosopher and current Research Fellow at Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem. Goodman was named by the Jerusalem Post as one of the 50 most influential Jews in 2017 and by Liberal Magazine as one of the 100 most influential Israelis in 2019. He is the author of seven best-selling books. His first three books – Moses’s Final Speech, The Dream of the Kuzari, and The Secrets of the Guide for the Perplexed – explore classic Jewish thought. His next four books – The Wondering Jew, Catch 67, The Attention Revolution, and The Eighth Day – explore contemporary Israeli issues and ideas. He is one of the founders of Mabua – Israeli Beit Midrash, and along with Efrat Shapira Rosenberg, hosts the popular Israeli podcast Mifleget Hamachshavot produced by Beit Avi Chai.
