This event is part of the Middle East Initiative's Spring 2025 "Middle East Dialogues," a series of frank, open, and probing encounters with vital and varied perspectives on the current conflict, its causes, and the prospects for peace and progress in the region.

About the Speaker

Naguib Sawiris is the founder of Orascom Telecom Holding which became the leading regional telecommunications player until its merger with Vimpelcom in 2011. In 2015 he managed the acquisition of Euronews, Europe’s top news channel, which has an African subsidiary, Africanews, and was appointed Chairman of its board. He is Executive Chairman of Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding and Chairman of the investment holding company OTMT Investments, which holds interests in ICT, finance and infrastructure.
